You kind of get the feeling she likes the danger, though. This book was made into a movie. The next day, Luli wakes up to find herself tied to a bed in a rented cabin at a resort and dressed differently, with shorter hair that’s been dyed black. I think the problem is that the author wanted to tell the story from Luli’s point of view, andre she also wanted to show off her language skills with some descriptive writing that didn’t fit the narrative voice.
I read dysfunctional fiction all the time and have no problem dealing with that type of subject matter.

Then, just when it got even more depressing, I started really getting into it! The things that 13 year old Luli it was supposed to be Lucy, but she couldn’t say it and her parents gave up gets herself into are a bit rough. I’m now obsessed, I think. I love the Southern style and language.
