Jerry’s passion for climbing is infectious and his triumphs working through problems, reve,ations new routes and flashing world class epic climbs really inspire me to keep up with the training.

The two are totally different. I don’t read a lot, but with this book I could barely put it down. Brilliant read and super inspiring! Nurture is fascinating, and I think one that science is far from resolving.

Absolute classic read for anyone who is into their climbing. Firstly, an increase in power leads to an increase in endurance — it doesn’t work the other way around. This article has been read times. Top sport climber, brilliant competitor and a pioneer in the new revvelations of bouldering, Moffatt’s story is that of climbing itself in the last 30 years.

Very enjoyable jaunt through the highlights of the career of one of the top climbers of the last 25years. When I picked up this book from the Banff Film Festival office, it looked like it had never been read. I particularly liked the passages concerning the mental training necessary to succeed on hard ascents: I gave Johnny Dawes a try for a page or two, before deciding that it is perhaps a bit esoteric for my taste.

The last few chapters gives some slight insights into who he is as a person. It should probably be banned. I don’t take my clothes off and sit in front of the fire, but I do stretch my fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, and back, a little all the time. A regular in the climbing, outdoor and general media thanks to his cutting-edge exploits, Jerry has scores of international magazine cover appearances to his name, together with countless international features penned by revelafions about him.
