Apart from this, Night sea journey, Petition, Autobiography- A self recorded fiction, Title are few others which I enjoyed and the use of language in most of them is very impressive.
A set of stories, some clever, some so damn clever that they are almost grating.
This aspect of the metaphor is actually extensively rejected by Wallace. May 30, Glenn Russell rated it it was amazing.

It’s interesting to compare these stories to those in his later work “The Development”.

I have an exam tomorrow on this, and it just became a little more clear to me how this story unfolds! There was no such girl, the simple truth being. Then he wishes he were dead. For Ambrose it is a place of fear and confusion.

It understands and points out the devices it is using. For one thing he is just entering adolescence, and the fun house clearly has sexual connotations for him and the narrator, a confused adolescent of a writer: So extremely Droste-recursive and painfully self-consciously meta-fictional there’s almost no room for any.

Came here by searching for brain painting. His older brother acts cool around Magda and Ambrose hates that. Character Ambrose will be recycled there. So, basically, I continue to find Barth interesting but rather trying.
