Hi, I want to get a V input into an Arduino from a VEGA BAR14 pressure sensor which outputs mA. Yes I know I can convert to V. Texas Instruments RCV Linear – Amplifiers – Instrumentation, OP Amps, Buffer Amps parts available at DigiKey. You can make a single-supply current loop receiver with the RCV by using its 10V reference as a pseudo ground. The RCV will convert a mA loop.

It is very handy if just a narrow band of the range is used – it allows you to amplify the signal and adjust an offset. In the second post you mention that you achieved a positive output signal, but it wasn’t correct. The XTR is a two-wire mA transmitter which must be allowed to float relative to system GND in order for rcv20 part to regulate its internal voltages as necessary for correct current transmission. Many current loop transmitters have response times in the few hundred Hz all the way up to the mid dcv420 high kHz range.
