It would have been nice if the heroine had held him to his lesser behavior a little longer, but all in all a wonderful heroine. Until she changes it all around and realizes how Jordan had played her, and who he really was.

She was a gentle dreamer. Please review your cart. Every once in a while, a 5-star book comes along that makes me want to go through all my other 5-star ratings and demote them, because they weren’t as perfect, as beautiful, as mcnsught as this one. He’s had mistresses galore and fought duels over married women he’s dallied with and suffers not a speck of remorse about any of it. Sweet and whimsical, Alexandra could fall into Mary Sue territory all too easily, but no.
We have sweet, smart, strong and big hearted heroine, Alexandra who rescues the hero from some bandits one night. She speaks of Jordan to everyone as if he’s a saint, which was just too much for the Ton!
Angst mixed in with sweet moments. Judith McNaught once again works her unique magic in this charming, sparkling romance.

And towards the end he was just so much more than perfect. Jordan was an asshole in the beginning but, no matter what I couldn’t hate him. That leads to another “problem” I had with this book: The characters growth and development is superior as the story progresses mcnaugght advances to it’s beautiful conclusion.
