These things were built to last and it’s going to be really exciting to see how they fare in terms of sound quality. As I’ve got a very capable bass system that can do 60 Hz and down with authority the plan this far is to utilize a pair of JBL ‘s for midbass and midrange, maybe throw in a H 10″ midrange to avoid early beaming and being able to cross the horns over a little later.

Large format JBL compression drivers and big chunky horns should mean lots of dynamics and fun! Midrange and High Frequency Compression Drivers

Above the horn and for the ultra high frequencies I’m contemplating something nice from Fostex or using a pair of JBL I’m fortunate enough to own. Had a look at the diaphragm and it’s probably the original back from 94 as some markings on around the voice coil indicates. Replies to my comment. They are heavily damped and it works great for bass, but maybe not so much for the highs?
